Our District 15 is also known as AASC, Alamo Association of Student Councils.  It encompasses a very large area, specifically eleven counties in the South and Central Texas area.  Our District includes Bandera, Bexar, Dimmit, Frio, Kerr, La Salle, Maverick, Medina, Real, Uvalde and Zavala Counties. Schools in these counties can become members of our Student Council District by becoming a member of TASC, Texas Association of Student Councils.

TASC Info

The Texas Association of Student Councils (TASC) is a non-profit organization serving high school and middle level student councils in Texas. Its purposes are to develop leadership abilities in students, promote democracy as a way of life and establish and uphold high standards for local councils. Organized in 1937, TASC has grown to serve more than 1300 member schools in Texas. Any junior or senior high school, public, parochial or private, may become a member of this organization by paying the annual membership.  TASC has 19 districts; your school is represented by District 15 (Alamo Association of Student Councils). TASC hosts several leadership workshops for both advisors and students. Student Councils must be members of TASC to participate in TASC and AASC events. There are also valuable resources on the TASC website.
